Doug Hall is a graduate of Amherst College (MA) where he was an All American tennis player and captain of the team. He earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University, where he was valedictorian. He is an avid skier, and still a competitive tennis player, reigning as champion at Bradenton Country Club.
Doug is also passionate about helping others. He has visited villages in Sierra Leone, West Africa, multiple times to help villagers build homes and infrastructure, and he has helped raise funds to support their struggles through wars, poverty and, more recently, the Ebola crisis.
Doug’s wife, Michele, is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and the Vanderbilt School of Law. She currently serves as General Counsel to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Department. Their three children include a son who is a college freshman and twins (boy and girl), who are high school sophomores. Doug’s daughter, who obviously inherited his athleticism, is a member of a national championship girls’ volleyball team.
The family enjoy traveling together, having visited Serbia in the recent past, and vacationing in Colorado. Here is a picture of the family together on a recent trip out west:
